What we collect
When you submit the request form, Nearby Ally collects: your name, email, optional phone number, city, preferred date and time, a description of the request, the location, place type, preferred support style, estimated time needed, optional notes for the companion, your answer to the emergency/crisis/medical/legal question, and your acknowledgement of our platonic-only boundaries.
How we use it
We use this information solely to review your request, decide whether it fits the pilot, and respond to you. Some requests may be marked for additional review.
No sale of personal information
Nearby Ally does not sell your personal information.
Limited sharing
We share information only as needed to operate the service — for example, with the Nearby Ally team member who will meet you, or with infrastructure providers that host our database. We do not share your information for marketing.
Data security
Requests are stored in a managed database with industry-standard access controls. The public website cannot read submissions; only authorized Nearby Ally staff can review them.
Deletion and contact
You can request a copy or deletion of your information by submitting the request form with a note describing your request, or by replying to any Nearby Ally email.
Pilot-stage limitations
Nearby Ally is in an early pilot. This policy may evolve as the service grows. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
